![]() So now on to audio.just wanted to post this in case someone else had the same problem. You should see data sent from the NS6 to the MIDI monitor window indicating correct communication with the computer. (this should happen by default) Press buttons, move faders and turn platters on the NS6. Open Sources and make sure MIDI sources is checked. Then launch the MIDI Monitor application. Download and install the free Mac OSX utility MIDI Monitor. For a case where all above steps returned a YES answer, perform the following: (note, this is a one time process): Connect the NS6 to the computer, and verify that USB LED is lit. If not, Run the ITCH installer Disk again to reinstall drivers. Then reconnect USB and see if the device reappears in the MIDI window. Check for a non-highlighted Numark USB Audio Device. Is a Numark USB Audio Device device present and highlighted in MIDI Window? If NO. On the Macintosh, open the Audio MIDI Setup utility. Also try a second USB cable or USB port on your Computer. Check that a Numark USB Audio Device is present in the audio device list on the left side. On the Macintosh, open the Audio MIDI Setup utility, and view the Audio tab. Does the Numark NS6 USB Audio Panel state that it's connected? If NO. Make sure you restart your computer after the reinstallation. Try running the installer disc again to repair the drivers. The driver may not have installed properly (this is very rare). Wait 5 more seconds, then reattach the USB cable. Turn off the NS6, wait 5 seconds, then turn it back on. Is the USB LED ON in the middle of NS6? If NO. ![]() The installer will force you restart when complete. Double-click Numark_NS6_midi.pkg to install the MIDI driver. In the window that opens, navigate to Contents > Packages. On the installation disk, Control+click ITCH for Numark Installer.mpkg and choose Show Package Contents. Insert the Itch for NS6 installation disc. If you are using a Macintosh: Disconnect the USB cable from the NS6. The information can be found on the FAQ of the Numark NS6 site. ![]() Can anyone please offer me some guidance here? Thanks.ALRIGHT! So Far, So Good! Digging further into finding a solution, I found this and it worked.but not until the last part. It seems to me that i still have the serato or traktor drivers in there somewhere, which would likely block the ns6.but i really dont know and just cannot figure it out. In the ASIO selections, I ONLY have options to choose from about 10 or so various Traktor controllers, no numark. I go into the config for vdj, and select the proper settings, which are 1- NONE 2 - External Mixer, and 3 - ASIO. When I open VDJ, i get an error stating that my soundcard must not be installed, or isnt functioning properly, along with an error that ASIO doesnt have enough channels. This is where it should be already working now. Downloaded the mappers for the ns6 as described in the instructions, installed them, and verified their locations in the proper folder. Expand the category Sound, video and game controllers. Type devmgmt.msc i n the Run box and click OK to open Device Manager. *windows kept showing an error that stopped completion of this process, so I went through the painstaking steps of removing every registry entry, and file for anything to do with Serato. On your keyboard, press Win+R (the Windows logo key and the R key) at the same time to invoke the Run box. After carefully reading all instructions found elsewhere here on the forums, I proceeded EXACTLY as directed, but it is still just not being recognized. So I recently upgraded my controller to a Numark NS6.
